Role Description:

The Build/Deploy/Packaging Lead will work directly with the Chief Software Architect and Development Managers to design, develop, and maintain CrossView's build and packaging life-cycle. This position plays in integral role in finalizing the release of CrossView's software once QA signs off on a particular version.

Primary Objectives:

•    Design and develop a consistent build and deploy framework for CrossView's software products.
•    Manage the internal build and deploys required for CrossView's internal product development.
•    Manage offshore developers that are part of the product development build and deploy team.
•    Be able to assign tasks and verify the work of the offshore team members.
•    Move CrossView more towards a test driven development organization by implementing capabilities such as continuous integration.
•    Design and develop fix-pack solution to enable CrossView customers to provide fixes and upgrades for customers in the future.

Skills/Attributes Required:

•    Strong Apache ANT skills
•    Experience with Maven and Ivy
•    Experience with commercial or open source install products like Installshield
•    Experience with continuous integration servers like Cruise Control, Quick Build or Bamboo
•    Good shell scripting and batch file skills (bash, python, etc)
•    Experience with Linux, Windows, and UNIX operating systems
•    Experience with branching, tagging using source code control systems like Subversion
•    Experience with deploying applications to WebSphere Application Server (wsadmin interface) and Tomcat
•    Understanding of J2EE applications and their packaging (EAR, WAR, JAR formats)
•    Java skills
•    Experience packaging software for commercial applications
•    Knowledge of VMware in both a workstation and server environment
