Project Manager

Summary                                         
Primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage the delivery of business systems solutions and associated application technical support services in support of business objectives and ongoing operations.  This includes systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation and ongoing support.  Individual will work closely with the functional business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.  The position will also be responsible for application staff development and technology vendor relationship management. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for application systems/project planning, estimating, tracking and management.  This includes working closely with the business functional areas, and external customers and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing deliverables and funding.  Position will also be responsible for all application business systems and services.  Position will provide leadership and direction to the application development staff.  This position will also be responsible to manage Technology and consulting vendor/partner relationship, service delivery and overall performance.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervised minimum of 10 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Competency

Must be competent in using a personal computer, Microsoft Office Products, and Microsoft Project.
Must have managed a WebSphere Commerce, ATG or Broadvision implementation project for a mid to large B2C or B2B site and have references from that client and their team members
Must have owned the estimation and budget of the project
Must have facilitated analysis sessions with users and technology group
Must have written requirements documents, use cases
Must have owned plan for their team and vendors
Must have experience leaning projects using the agile development methodology
Highly intelligent
Must have managed scope process with customer


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Location / Travel Requirement
We are a remote organization, with a formal office location in Santa Clara, CA.  Our consultants work from their home offices and travel to client locations as needed.   There is a 30-50% travel requirement for this position.


Certificates, Licenses, Registration
PMI Certification is a plus.
SCRUM Master Certification is a plus
