CrossView worked with Michele.com to develop and implement an interactive Watch Configurator, a number of design and usability changes, as well as improved search engine optimization.
The Watch Configurator is an interactive product configurator that interfaces with IBM’s Websphere Commerce, allowing customers to customize their watches by selecting watch heads and straps and viewing combinations of the finished product before adding them to their cart. It also enables customers to purchase multiple straps for a single watch, a unique feature of Michele.com.
A new and improved look and feel was added to support Michele.com’s luxury branding; email and catalog sign-up were integrated with Michele.com’s email provider, Silverpop; and image viewing and zooming features from Scene7 were integrated into the site’s product pages.
Custom product display and preview images were also developed, which include auto-sensing of alternate product images, enabling Fossil to manage alternate product images without having to update the merchandizing database. Also added were product recommendations that include unique sets for product detail pages and cart pages.

Fossil entered the luxury products niche when it acquired Tempus International, which does business as Michele Watches. The subsidiary launched Michele Jewelry, a collection of 18-karat gold pieces that are sold at Neiman Marcus stores nationwide. During 2008, sales increases among its licensed brands and Michele watches helped to boost the company's wholesale watch shipments in the US, offsetting decreases in sales volume for Fossil's namesake watches.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the birth of Michele 2.0 at www.michele.com complete with the following features:
