CrossView Address Verification for CyberSource

cybersourceCyberSource requires street, city, state, country and postal code entries in order to verify an address. There are three possible responses from CyberSource:

  • Accept: This is returned if the street, state, country and postal code entries are correct. If the city entry is not correct, then it gives one possible suggestion for city. The buyer will then have the option of accepting or rejecting the suggestion.
  • Reject: This is returned if at least one of the street, state, country or postal code entries is incorrect. The buyer will then be shown the error message but they will still have the option of saving the address.
  • Error: This is returned when CyberSource is not able to serve the address verification request due to any reason. In this case, the buyer will see the message, for example, "We cannot verify the address presently due to unavailability of service." The buyer will still have the option of saving the address.
