CrossView Integration for Givex

Issuance of Gift Cards:

  • CrossView issues the gift cards during the fulfillment process in WebSphere Commerce. Orders are evaluated to determine if any gift card SKU's are present. If SKU's are for electronic gift cards, they are fulfilled by calling the register and activating API's of Givex to generate a new card number in real time and store the value on the card. CrossView takes advantage of the Givex capability to issue security codes with every gift card whether physical or electronic. The gift card recipients are sent two emails, the first with the gift message and card number, and the second with the security code.

Acceptance of Gift Cards:

  • CrossView provides the capability to accept gift cards issued through Givex as a form of payment. The value on the gift card is always stored with Givex and never on the local WebSphere Commerce machine. Givex supports authorization and deployed capture the way traditional credit card processing works. Givex also supports immediate capture of funds if you wish to capture them upfront. CrossView has designed the integration with Givex to support the payment integration framework within WebSphere Commerce. This allows the payment rules to be configured in WebSphere Commerce so you have the ultimate flexibility in determining how the cards should be processed. CrossView also supports returns by returning credit back to the gift card using the WebSphere Commerce returns mechanism. Shoppers are also given the ability to check the balance of their gift cards online.

Reporting:

  • With this CrossView Integration, you are provided with an easy to use web interface from Givex that provides the ability to report on gift card issuance, activation, authorization, settlement and returns. You also have the ability to transfer funds from one card to another one.
