Ongoing commitment to protecting customers’ confidential information demonstrated
Santa Clara, CA — October 24, 2011 — CrossView, Inc. a cross-channel commerce solution and retail technology provider, today announced it was awarded a pivotal new international certification validating the company’s security practices, infrastructure and commerce-related offerings for the retail industry.
The firm is among the first cross-channel commerce solution providers to complete the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagement No. 16 (SSAE 16) audit. The achievement illustrates CrossView’s ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining the industry’s most stringent controls for the protection and security of its customers’ confidential information.
“This very rigorous, voluntary audit provides CrossView customers with clear assurance that the controls and safeguards we employ to protect and secure their data are superior,” said Michael D. Peters, Chief Information Security Officer.
The audit included extensive testing of CrossView’s controls performed by an independent licensed Certified Public Accounting firm. The auditor examined CrossView’s controls related to network connectivity, firewall configuration, computer operations, database access, data transmissions, backup, software development and more.
SSAE 16 audits have become increasingly important for data-handling service providers. CrossView’s customers can easily incorporate the SSAE 16 Audit Report in their compliance programs as proof that appropriate controls are in place.
